I’ve been working with light since 1995, creating gallery installations, public commissions and more recently, photographic works. I studied Fine Art at Newport and Cardiff colleges of art, gaining a masters degree in 1987 and since then I have worked in various jobs, helping to develop roles for artists in public realm projects throughout Wales. I also spent ten years teaching Fine Art part time at the University of Wales Newport. I now work mainly from my studio at Chapter, Cardiff. My current practice moves between studio based photography where movement is the subject of the work and public lighting projects where I collaborate with architectural lighting companies to develop programmed lighting schemes to transform the appearance of public spaces at night.
