Biography
Originating from existential enquiry, he seeks to "make visible", Peter Finnemore is noted for his long-term photo art projects on the human condition, generational memory, home, nature, culture, history and post-industrial landscapes.
His working practises combines a fluid exchange between the language of photography and fine art sensibilities. These artworks are manifested as photographs (analogue & digital), video art, installations, artists books, text art, performance and assemblages on canvas.
A graduate from the Glasgow School of Art, Finnemore represented Wales at the 1997 Venice Biennale. His artwork is in a number of public collections, including; Arts Council Collection, Princeton Museum of Art and Chrysler Art Centre. Recently he is included in the major international photographic book survey - Photography Today, Contemporary Photography since 1960.

Snowdon 2005Timelord
This was a showreel of short video art films, selected, from a group of videos which were produced for the Zen Gardener exhibition at the Oriel Mostyn and for the exhibition Somewhere Else shown at the Welsh Pavilion at the 51st Venice Biennale. These film works were the latest instalments from an ongoing 20 year investigation, which explores the possibility of ordinary domestic spaces of home and garden as relevant, challenging and contemporary artistic subject matter.
