Errol Fuchs

Errol  holds the distinction of completing the world’s longest gap year. After his Foundation Course at Wolverhampton College of Art and Design, a “brief” pause from academia blossomed into a fifty‑year journey through design, photography, and the co‑founding of an international creative agency with studios in Birmingham and New York. Working with global names across telecommunications, automotive, fashion, and government, Fuchs refined a clear‑sighted, instinctive approach to visual communication.

Since relocating to Wales in 2014, he has returned to painting with renewed intention. His practice explores the delicate territory between figuration and abstraction, shaped by intuition and a refusal to over‑intellectualise. Guided by his personal mantra, ‘No Mierda Del Toro’, each work unfolds in its own time—quietly asserting its rhythm, emotion, and truth.
