Piano Phase- Between Light and Dark: In collaboration with West Wales Arts Centre

For this special occasion, pianist and composer David Pepper, based in North Pembrokeshire, performs music inspired by the local landscape within an intimate chamber setting to create a rich, layered sound world. Within the gallery, his performance unfolds alongside artist Karel Jasper’s photographic series Between Light and Dark, with the photographs hanging throughout the space to form a shifting dialogue between sound and image as visitors move among the works.

Together with Arts Council Wales' Noson Allan, The event extends Canfas Gallery’s ongoing rollout of new events and public engagements by offering a live performance that blends original piano compositions with a carefully curated visual environment, creating a contemplative setting where landscape-inspired music and photographic imagery resonate with one another and inviting music lovers and gallery visitors alike to explore deep connections between sight and sound in an accessible, atmospheric afternoon.
