Paul Croft
"The Quayside Construct Series of prints and drawings have been evolving from a combination of still life drawings (based upon flotsam and jetsam) and observations made during walks and visits to harbours."
Paul Croft qualified as a Master Printer at the Tamarind Institute in Albuquerque in 1996 and currently is Senior Lecturer at the School of Art in Aberystwyth. He has written and published two books on Stone Lithography and Plate Lithography, and he was elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society Painter Printmakers in 2008 and the Royal Cambrian Academy in 2022. Paul’s work is concerned with the development of personal visual language and has evolved through a synthesis of motifs derived from a broad range of observations. Much of his work is comprised of drawing & printmaking and stone & plate lithography, but he also makes use of woodcut, monotype and stencil printing which has allowed his work to evolve through assemblage and abstract composition.
