Eloise Govier
“Colour is my passion, it is how I communicate how I feel, it is how I understand all my hopes, joys, disappointments and experiences."
Eloise was raised in West Wales and graduated with an MA and MLitt in Art History. She later attended courses at the renowned Charles Cecil Art Atelier in Florence and then in Berlin where she immersed herself in her work. Her vibrant, colourful paintings are instantly recognizable both for her striking use of colour, and for the structure of her palette knife work. Eloise was once named “heir apparent to Sir Kyffin’s legacy” (Robin Turner, Western Mail) and referred to as “one of the most dynamic artists to emerge from Britain” (Sarah Jane Absalom) In 2018 Eloise was awarded a Doctorate from the University of Wales and became a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. Her work is held in collections in London, New York, and Tokyo.
