Alexander Fox- Robinson
"My work explores the relationship between pre-modern and post-modern art"
Alexander Fox-Robinson is a painter living and working in Carmarthenshire, whose practice is rooted in the timeless art of storytelling through image and allegory. Working primarily in oils, with preparatory studies in ink and watercolour, he explores the human condition through scenes rich in symbolism and emotional depth. His compositions often unfold like visual narratives, inviting viewers to read layers of meaning as one would a myth or parable. Deeply inspired by masters such as Rembrandt, Bruegel, and Goya, and more recently the living master Odd Nerdrum, Fox-Robinson balances classical technique with a profoundly personal, modern vision.
