Rhian Eleri is an artist originally from Bridgend and who is now living in West Wales. Her work is bold and colorful using inspiration from nature to play into more abstract pieces. Rhian begins her paintings using acrylic paint, put down spontaneously, and then she works the canvas over in oil paint once the base layer is dry. The process is about letting the painting evolve, adding depth and texture through deliberate mark making until Rhian feels it has finished.  Painting allows her to play and explore the relationships between colours, being continually fascinated by their interplay and the way they combine and interact with each other.
