Darren Yeadon

Biography
"My fascination with nautical nature persists although sculptures have become more abstract and technically challenging."

Brought up by the sea in Whitby, Darren began his career as a quarryman and stonemason, first studying the geology and extraction of stone from the earth before developing his skill in shaping and carving it for architectural forms. Darren developed a remarkable flair for intricate stone carving, and following a serious road accident that nearly claimed his life, he decided to focus his unique skills on creating beautiful sculpture in response to a renewed appreciation of nature and the beauty of our time on earth. Through the course of his work Darren has developed a strong personal style and through his dedication gained a following  including commissions for greater sculpture.
